The Parks, Recreation & Historic Sites Division is responsible for formulating the Georgia Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) every five years. In addition to SCORP, the PRHSD provides several links to environmental web resources and is also responsible for administering two major grants: the Land and Water Conservation Fund Program and the Recreational Trails Program.

- Atlanta Regional Commission
The ARC provides a Green Infrastructure Toolkit, the Protected Lands Inventory and Database and the Green Infrastructure Priorities Map. This information applies to the 10-county region which the ARC is responsible for, including: Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale.

Its goal is to create a comprehensive land use model, implement innovative land use and conservation programs and educate the general public on the benefits of greenspace and rural agricultural land. Currently, the Conservancy is planning a 98-mail trail in Coweta, Carroll, Fulton and Douglas counties with the Path Foundation.

The Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a national, nonprofit, land conservation organization that conserves land for people to enjoy as parks, community gardens, historic sites, rural lands, and other natural places, ensuring livable communities for generations to come. In Georgia, TLP provides The Greenprint Georgia program which supports local communities in efforts to protect natural resources.
